Choir / Opera (2024
) is set in a snow-covered suburb and turns the familiar into the uncanny through the lens of surveillance. The work positions viewers as passive observers of quiet suburban routines. Shot on six rolls of film across six days, it uses in-camera experimentation to create subtle distortions. These distortions evoke the fragmented and unreliable nature of surveillance memory. The piece explores how systems of watching shape perception, experience, and social behaviour in contemporary life.
